[At least he has a better excuse for not collecting info than Kashuu does... His excuse basically boils down to "I was distracted" for various reasons, some significantly better than others.
But yes, he'll follow in, glancing around the area. It's not like this is the first time he's been in the third apartment, especially with Horikawa staying here; it's just sort of habitual to scan a less familiar room.]
Some kinda volcano. [HE SAYS WAY TOO CAVALIERLY.] What about you?
[Considering Kashuu's was lucky enough to babysit a bunch of dingus swords, being distracted is honestly a pretty legit excuse...
Unsurprisingly, the apartment is nice and tidy. Between actual mom Horikawa Kardashian and the fact that most of apartment 3's residents don't care much about material things, there's a distinct lack of clutter. There isn't much in the way of decorations, either, but they hadn't exactly had much time before getting dumped in the jungle.
The television shows what appears to be a high school boy acting as a warrior. Reaching for the remote, Namazuo turns the volume down a little before he answers Kashuu's question.]
A river... and then the ocean. [Alas, a fun beach trip it was not.]
[Kashuu glances over toward the TV too because of course he does, and maybe makes a mental note to ask what the show is later because THIS IS BIZARRE ALREADY and different from the k-dramas that Vietnam has thrown at him...
But!! More importantly, since he's already talked to Mutsu, he isn't quite so lost about all of these shenanigans anymore.]
With Maris, yeah? And Mutsu and Yasusada?
[He wonders how many other swords were there... Their group is bigger than fire already.]
[WHO AMONG THEM IS ENOUGH LIKE THAT FOR IT TO BE RELATABLE!! Also wow he's bummed, why did they party on the beach without him. Rude, honestly...]
Yeah, Ardeo didn't stick around either. [But he likes Ardeo, so he can give him a pass. Maybe he just didn't understand that everyone was in SERIOUS TROUBLE there for a while... He gets it! Spirits don't really understand things like that sometimes.]
Haruji was with my group and so was Sayo, but it sounds like most of us were other places. So far I think you guys had the most.
[Where's his beach episode!! When will it happen...]
We made sure he didn't do anything by himself. [Because he kept insisting on that?? LIKE A PUNK?? Honestly, thinking he could go off and look for water in a volcano without at least one sword accompanying him.
His nose wrinkles immediately at that, though. Souji had ended up passing out pretty early on because of the air troubles and he hadn't particularly enjoyed the feeling of his lungs not functioning properly when he shouldn't have had to worry about breathing in the first place.]
Yeah, it did. It happened to everyone else I've talked to so far, too. [He hasn't run into an air sword yet... those rudies.]
[NO BEACH EPISODE nobody wants to see Kashuu's noodle arms...]
That's good! I'm relieved to know he had you with him. [Haru would never claim to have favorites, of course, but Namazuo's perfectly aware of the close bond he has with his starter swords (and Mikazuki, but, well, that's understandable too). Likewise, though he's not exactly Kashuu's BFF, he knows how much Kashuu cares about Haru too. It's comforting to know their master was in good hands.
It isn't comforting to hear that, though. He frowns, leaning forward to grab the bowl of grapes off the table.] Something that affects these bodies, but not our real ones... I don't like it.
[WOW rude af, he's being buff with Dotanuki okay, his noodle arms can be saved...]
Mm, but I wish there were a few more with us. [Kashuu, normally keen on being The Hero when it comes to impressive Haru and sticking by his side, has already seen once what Cerealia can do to people even when they're surrounded by protectors. If Haru gets hurt one day because he wasn't enough, he'd never be able to forgive himself.]
It's not how things should be. I mean, I know we're like, rescued from the code or whatever... But it's-- something about it isn't right, yeah? It's no good like this.
Well, we're all safe together again now, right? [Namazuo smiles, offering the bowl to Kashuu. He may not know everything about Kashuu's fears and insecurities, but he does know when to offer reassurance.] We won't let anything happen to master.
...But I agree. [It's a comfort to know he isn't alone in his worries. Kashuu's been here far longer than he has, and if he's worried, then it must be more than paranoia.] Isn't there someone we could speak to about it? Ardeo-san, perhaps? [Since he's apparently way friendlier than Maris, though Namazuo hasn't met him yet.]
[He takes a grape with a little hum of acknowledgment, since it's a kind thing for Namazuo to do (both offering food and offering reassurance, that is.) It would be nice if he could agree with as much confidence as he'd like to, but the vague response will have to be enough for now.
As for contacting Ardeo:]
I promised to bring him lots of sparkly things, so I could write him a letter the next time I go to visit. I dunno if he'll be able to respond, but it'll be worth a shot, yeah?
[Little does he know Ardeo will appear to say hi BUT WHATEVER.]
Hm, you did? [Namazuo laughs a little, popping a grape into his own mouth. Thankfully he's not tossing them up in the air and trying to catch them... at the moment...] That's nice of you! I'm sure he'd respond for that, if he can.
[Namazuo might not be saying that if he knew they were basically Moron 1 and Moron 2, but he doesn't know that, so!]
Mm... I suppose that would make sense, if they haven't spent much time with them. They aren't like us, after all. [They'd spent the majority of their lives wielded by, owned by, or around humans, and even they struggle sometimes. It's no surprise that the element gods are pretty clueless, if they're all newcomers to this planet.]
[Does he have any left to preserve though, that's the real question.]
There were two others, right? Have you heard anything about them? [Namazuo would like to see the best in people, sure, but at the same time, he's not afraid to call a spade a spade. Or rather, to call Maris a Butt. And the more practical reason--] It would be good to know who we're dealing with.
I saw Occidi. I don't really know anything about her, but she had a really intimidating presence and Ardeo said not to make her mad. [It was like standing in front of an Actual God and that was honestly a concerning experience.]
I think the last one's called Caeli? I've never met him either but he came with Maris when that guy flooded the colony.
Mmhm. Shouldn't be too hard, at least. [Considering they probably can't even interact with the spirits from in here... THAT SAID:]
He was mad 'cause CERES took their Bridge. He wasn't trying to make things hard for us, he just didn't care that we were kinda in the way. That's what I heard, anyway.

Right. Kousetsu-kun and Horikawa-kun too. [Kashuu got lost on the way to the gumi party, apparently.] Maris-san... didn't talk to us very much.
[That's Namazuo-speak for "he was an unhelpful jerkwad".]

Oh, that's good to hear. I was worried. [About both of them! But mostly Haru, because his health isn't the greatest.]
It was strange... we had a lot of trouble breathing. Did that happen to you?

[That's just because Kashuu knows how to speak moron so they were on the same page the whole time.]
All of them are pretty detached from people, though. Like... None of 'em really know how to handle humans.

Mmhm. I mean, I heard your water guy was pretty rude, but I think most of those spirits just act the way they do 'cause they don't know any better.
[Which is a bold thing to say about elemental spirits BUT IT'S TRUE.]

[It's all in the intentions, or something... but if he's going to be dealing with Maris regularly, then Namazuo would prefer to not dislike him.]
Well, it seems like we're safe again for now. I'm glad everyone made it back safely.

Same, same. That was a real pain! They shoulda looked into that stuff more closely before they tried to help.
